Hi! I’m Dani Torgusen;
An interaction designer based in Los Angeles. I find inspiration in the beauty of everyday life, the extraordinary potential to transform the mundane into something special, and the profound magic of human connection. My design philosophy is driven by the belief that creativity is an inherent quality within everyone. I see design as a space where play and exploration are integral, fostering an environment where experimentation and curiosity lead to innovative solutions and authentic engagement.
In my work, I focus on creating human-centered, aesthetically pleasing, and contemporary designs. My professional journey includes roles as a Social Media Manager and Creative Director, where I have crafted engaging content and developed cohesive brand strategies that resonate with audiences. My background in fine art and graphic design adds a unique blend of creativity, technical expertise, and aesthetic sensibility to my design practice. I excel at blending creativity with functionality and thrive in collaborative environments. My commitment to continuous learning and experimentation helps me stay at the forefront of design trends.
My passion for art began in childhood. As a little girl living in Bogota, Colombia, I spent nearly a decade attending an art studio where, under the guidance of a mentor, I got to explore various techniques such as watercolor, silk painting, and oil painting. But beyond that, I found a space that nurtured my creativity and allowed me to express my world through art. These formative experiences inspired me to pursue an Associate’s degree in Art, and through my found love for intentional design a B.S. in Interaction Design.
Looking ahead, I aim to create thoughtful, human-centered designs that reflect my passion for the intersection of art and science. My focus is on fostering a deeper connection between people and technology by prioritizing ethics and empathy. I strive to design with intention—crafting experiences that I genuinely love and that bring meaningful impact to people's lives. By cultivating spaces that encourage play, exploration, and creativity, I hope to inspire others while contributing to a more human-centered technological future.
